Remembering the Past
In 1960, Fr. Francis C. Robinson, founded Our Lady Queen of the World
Church in Richmond Hill. For three years, the congregation worshipped
together from a school auditorium. The present building was completed
in 1963 and opened with a parish of more than 500 families. Our Lady
Queen of the World is located on the east side of Bayview Avenue in
Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada.
Living the Present
The parish
continues to grow in its diversity as more people take their
baptismal call to another level, by participating fully in the
different ministries that are currently running at this parish.
At the Ministry Fair week-end 34 different parish ministries
will be represented.
Did you know...
that since 1960 our parish has
Baptized - 3118 children
Married - 900 couples
Buried - 571 people
Confirmed - 3956 youths
Welcoming the Future
After 50 years, our church building is in need of some serious
attention. Therefore, over the next few years, our church will
be undergoing some renovations. We hope that these renovationswill
allow our building to stand |
 |
strong for another 50 years and pray that
our parishioners will continue to be touched by God's graces through
the Sacraments, through prayers and through a caring community of
faith.
